  • Verner's Pattern Prismatic Compass

    This type of British compass is called Verner's pattern after its designer's name, Colonel William Willoughby Cole Verner.
    It has a Mother of Pearl dial, to enhance reading in low level light, with a gemstone pivot bearing. To protect this when not in use it has a transit lock that can be activated after lid closure.
    Stamped with the date, 1914, it comes in its leather carry case.
