Leather Covered 'Flag' Telescope

An unusual English nineteenth century leather and nickel plated brass single drawer hand held Naval telescope that has sliding eyepiece lens cover and a panel inset into the leather showing signal flags/pendents for identification and signalling. Unusually, the telescope is engraved with a family crest and marked with the original retailer/maker; E & E Emanuel, who were makers by appointment to HM Queen Victoria.
