A rare 1960's large scale travel agent's cutaway model of a Vickers VC10 in BOAC livery and mounted on original stand. This type of model enabled passengers to choose where they would like to sit having seen the interior layout of the aircraft when purchasing their ticket.

The Vickers VC10 was a long-range British airliner designed and built by Vickers-Armstrong, and first flown in 1962. The airliner was designed to operate on long-distance routes from the shorter runways typical of the early 60's era. The performance of the VC10 was such that it achieved an unofficial record (5 hours and 1 minute) for the fastest London to New York crossing of the Atlantic for a sub-sonic airliner. A record it held from the 1960s until February 2020!

Dimensions: 107 cm/42⅛ inches (length) x 28 cm/11 inches (max. width) x 43 cm/16⅞ inches (maximum height on stand).
