A fine large size suitcase by Brachers of Bristol and Cardiff, circa 1918. Constructed in veg-tanned, heavy-gauge, hand-stitched cow-hide with riveted reinforced corners. This is an excellent example of their superb luggage, the best of British craftsmanship. The case has been well used and has developed a lovely tone and natural patina, with the leather in super condition. The top-grade, hand-cast brass locks both function well and the handle is particularly strong and serviceable. Has original name, C.E. Burkitt, embossed on the lid.
