Superb Victorian English leather cigar case with metal match striking plate on the end and internal sprung holder to keep the cigars from getting damaged. Expands for differing lengths of cigar. Circa 1850.
Dimensions (when closed fully): 13 cm/5⅛ inches (length) x 7 cm/2¾ inches (width) x 4 cm/1⅝ inches (thick).
Will take up to two cigars with maximum diameter of 2.25 cm/in excess of 52 ring gauge and expands to take a maximum cigar length of 17 cm/6⅝ inches.
