Silver plate and glass recipe cocktail shaker, with integral strainer, from the 1930's named "The Barman". Made in France, by Ghiso, for export to Argentina during prohibition. The glass has Spanish and English etched into it. The statement, Mezclar con cuchara los cocktails de arriba - sacudir los de abajo - para todos anadia hielo. Which translates as, Mix the top cocktails with a spoon - shake the bottom ones - add ice for everyone. This refers to the top and bottom windows on the sides of the shaker which each show the recipes for 12 different cocktails (24 in total) that can be viewed as you turn the glass liner. The shaker also comes with a spoon as some of the cocktails should be shaken, but some should be stirred.

Dimensions: 9.75 cm/3⅞ inches (max. diameter) x 21.5 cm/8½ inches (height).
