A magnificent hand stitched large leather cigar case or 'cigar protector', circa 1850. Made to put in a bag or case. Has original applied silver monogram.
Dimensions (when fully closed): 13.25 cm/5¼ inches (length) x 13 cm/5⅛ inches (width) x 5.75 cm/2¼ inches (thick).
Will take up to ten cigars with maximum diameter of 21 mm/52 ring gauge and a maximum cigar length of 12 cm/4¾ inches.
