PRODUCT DETAILS AND CONDITION
The items available from Bentleys are carefully chosen for their style, scarcity, condition or craftsmanship. It should be noted that these items are antique or vintage and, as such, it should be expected that there will be some signs of wear. On request, we will provide a condition report and additional images of items. We are always happy to accommodate any reasonable requests to help make a purchasing decision.
Additional details provided such as attribution, description, date, age and country of origin are as accurate as possible, but constitute our judgement and opinion and are not warranted by us. Dimensions provided are approximate and may comprise estimates in certain circumstances. We ask that customers clarify with us any dimensions that are essential to their decision making before placing their order.
As you will see from our website we have an extensive inventory of objects. We are therefore not able to display all of them in the shop all of the time. If you are coming to the shop and wish to view a particular item, please do email us first. We need a bit of notice, but can normally retrieve things from the warehouse within a couple of days.
The price for our products will be the price indicated when you press “Confirm Order” on the checkout page when placing your order, or the price stated in our confirmation email following your order.
We will normally check prices before accepting your order. We take all reasonable care to ensure the price of the product(s) is correct, but there may be instances when this is not the case and goods are incorrectly priced. If a product’s correct price at your order date is higher than the price stated to you, we will contact you for instructions before we accept your order.
If we accept and process your order where a pricing error is obvious and unmistakable and could reasonably have been recognised by you as misspriced, we may terminate the order, refund any sums you have paid and require the return of any such goods provided to you.
Method of payment: We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and all major debit and credit cards. If you are shopping from outside the U.K, your card provider will convert the transaction to your own currency.
Payment to Bentleys can be made through the website by debit or credit card. Alternatively, we accept payment by wire transfer or cheque (subject to limits and conditions). Please contact us when making an order if you wish to use one of these alternative payment methods.
For the secure processing of your payment, we use the Stripe payment gateway and bank transfers to our company account.
Value Added Tax: All prices include VAT at the appropriate prevailing rate. Bentleys operates the HMRC GB VAT Margin Scheme for antiques and collectors' items.
All personal information supplied by you, including credit card numbers and contact details, is safeguarded on secure servers. A receipt will be dispatched along with your order or sent separately to the billing address if this differs to the shipping address.
Payment is usually required in full. Any failure to comply with payment terms will incur interest charges of 4% per annum above the Bank of England base rate, from the payment due date until the date of payment. We reserve the right to cancel any sale if payment terms are breached. Any deposit agreed and paid to reserve or secure an item will be non-refundable in the case that the order is subsequently cancelled.
Full legal title to the items will not pass until payment is received in full in cleared funds.
RETURNS AND REFUNDS FOR CONSUMERS
The following clause only applies if you are a consumer.
Upon receipt of your order, please unpack and inspect your items as soon as possible. Consumers are entitled to return any items purchased online for a full refund within 14 days of receiving physical possession of the items.
In this situation, the customer should notify Bentleys of their decision to return the order within the 14 day time period. The cost of the return delivery is to be borne by the customer and the items should be returned to Bentleys in original packaging, and in the same condition as when despatched by us, within a further 14 days from the date of notification. Any deterioration in condition may affect the customer’s right to a full refund.
The items will remain the responsibility of the customer until physically received by Bentleys. Returns are not accepted for items bought in store. Customers should satisfy themselves about the products purchased before submitting an order, as all in store sales are final.
If there are any issues with the condition of your item(s) upon receipt, please send detailed photographic evidence to us by email at email@example.com. We will aim to respond as quickly as possible and within 48 hours.
RETURNS AND REFUNDS FOR TRADE CUSTOMERS
The following clause only applies if you are a trade customer.
Trade customers are not permitted to return items once they have been despatched and should satisfy themselves about the items before submitting an order, as all sales are final.
If Bentleys are prevented, hindered or delayed in or from performing any of its obligations under this agreement by something beyond it’s reasonable control, including lack of workforce, Bentleys shall not be in breach of this agreement or otherwise liable for any such failure or delay in the performance of such obligations. The time for performance of such obligations shall be extended accordingly.
If a court finds part of this contract illegal, the rest will continue in force. Each of the paragraphs of these terms operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect.
In all cases, Bentleys supplies goods on condition that our liability for any fault or defect in quality is limited in amount to a sum not exceeding the purchase price of the goods supplied.

This website contains material which is owned by or licensed to us. This material includes, but is not limited to, the design, layout, look, appearance and graphics. Reproduction is prohibited other than in accordance with the copyright notice, which forms part of these terms and conditions.
