Silver box with unusual stepped design by silversmiths Hermann Bauer, circa 1930.
Features silver marks of the Imperial crown and crescent moon for Germany and a silver purity stamp of 800. Originally designed for cigarettes, the box features cedar lining to the inside of the lid and the interior of the base.
Dimensions: 15 cm/5⅞ inches (width) x 9 cm/3½ inches (depth) x 5.7 cm/1⅞ inches (height).
