A stunning Louis Vuitton trunk circa 1915 with LV monogram pattern canvas, lozine trim, brass fittings, original lining and all the divided, felt lined trays. The leather handles on this trunk are newly made replacements of the originals, that were damaged beyond repair.
As well as the original, Louis Vuitton label to the interior, this trunk also has a label for Severin Frères, the European fashion house, known for their haute couture who were the original retailer of this trunk, and acted as agents for Louis Vuitton with their stores in Belgium, and Holland at this time. This was before Vuitton had established their own standalone stores in these countries.
