Baltic Blue Granite Stone Box

A beautiful box made from granite. Originally used as a cigarette box, a gilt metal hinge joins the top and bottom sections. Granite is an igneous rock, known for its distinctive speckled appearance, which comes from the interlocking crystals of feldspar, quartz and mica.

Baltic blue granite is a type of granite with a distinctive grey blue colour, often contrasting with black and brown patches. Blue is a relatively rare color in natural stone, and the striking appearance of blue granite makes it highly sought after.
