Labradorite Stone Box

A beautiful box made from Labradorite. Originally used as a cigarette box, a gilt metal hinge joins the top and bottom sections.

Labradorite is a feldspar mineral known for its striking iridescence, a phenomenon called
labradorescence, which displays a play of colors like blues, greens, and golds. This optical effect is caused by light interference within the stone's internal laminar structures. Labradorite is found in various locations, including Canada, Russia, and Finland.
