A splendid large diameter WWII era leather cordite carrier. Constructed from a core of cork, bound in leather and lined in canvas, this munitions container is circa 1940. Stamped with the initials R.C.D., meaning that it was made at the Royal Chatham Dockyards. Excellent for use as a log basket or even a large waste paper bin.
