Tiger's Eye Stone Box

A stylish box made from Tiger's Eye with bands of colour running through the stone. May have originally been used as a cigarette box, but now has an Alcantara lining to the base of the interior. A gilt metal hinge joins the top and bottom sections of the box.

Tiger's Eye is a member of the quartz family of rocks that polishes to a glossy lustre and has a holographic quality. This gemstone is great for decorative pieces due to the fact that it is relatively hard.

The colouration of Tiger's Eye typically includes strips, lines and veins of colour in beautiful shades of honey, rich yellow and various shades of brown.
