A superb leather cordite carrier. Constructed from a core of cork, bound in leather and lined in canvas. Stamped with the broad arrow symbol and the initials R.C.D., meaning that it belonged to the British Board of Ordnance and was made at the Royal Chatham dockyards. This munitions container dates circa 1915. Would make a great umbrella or stick stand.
