A wonderful Italian silver bowl modelled as a Rhino. Marked with a 925 purity stamp (the same as sterling silver), makers number & province mark, 665 MI dating it post 1970 and the maker’s mark for De Vecchi of Milan.
Piero de Vecchi opened his first silver workshop in 1935. In the 1990s, the baton passed to a third generation of the De Vecchi family, Piero's grandsons, Matteo and Giacomo, who continue to create and produce silver items.
