A fine 1960s stone box made from Malachite. Originally used as a cigarette box, a silver hinge and frame joins the top and bottom sections. With Italian silver 800 purity stamp and maker's mark of 244 MI for Eredi Mazzetti. Made between 1944-1968 in Milan.
Eredi Mazzetti were known for producing high-quality silver objects and decorative pieces. The firm was active in Milan from 1937 to 1971.
