Offshore Power Boat Trophy

Period facsimile of the James Beard Memorial Trophy in hallmarked silver on a marble base, originally commissioned by an early recipient of this award. Maker's mark for Pobjoy Mint, the makers of the actual trophy, and hallmarked London, 1983.

The trophy is awarded to the world offshore speed record holders in Class 1 powerboat racing. James Beard was a renowned and successful powerboat designer, manufacturer, and racer who sadly passed away in the early 1980s.
