A characterful part lacquered brass compass, made in France circa 1900. The compass has a steel needle with the north end having a 'blued' finish.
The engraved dial is divided by eight main points of the compass and the needle has a transit lock mechanism.
Dimensions: 4.5 cm/1¾ inches (diameter)x 0.75 cm/⅜ inch (thick).
