Fratelli Cacchione Oval Silver Box

A superb 1960’s silver box with lid and gilded interior. Made by renowned Italian silversmiths, Fratelli Cacchione of Milan. Stamped with the maker’s initials, F.C. and maker's number 39MI. This mark for Fratelli Cacchione was used from 1949 - 1970. Also marked with the English oval 925 import silver purity mark. Amazing level of craftsmanship used to execute this design!

Founded in 1889 by Ciro Cacchione, they moved from Florence to Milan in 1933. Fratelli Cacchione are a dynasty of five generations of silversmiths still ongoing today. In the past they have worked for exclusive makers such as Tiffany, Cartier, Asprey, Harry Winston and Bedetti of Rome and collaborated to make all sorts of different silver ware.
