Textured silver cufflinks designed by Finnish sculptor, Bjorn Weckstrom for Finland’s renowned silversmith workshop, Lapponia. Part of the ‘ Planetoid Valleys’ series which made Lapponia particularly famous in 1977 due to Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) wearing a necklace from the range in the closing scene (the medal ceremony) of "Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope". Weckstrom went on to become one of Scandinavia’s best known jewellery designers.
With rectangular swivel back fastening and fully stamped with Finnish silver marks including 925 (the purity of sterling silver).
