Wonderful large Victorian leather cigar case by Asprey of Bond Street, circa 1900. Has the original owner's name written on the inside section of the case, 'Major H.R.Darley Cavalry Club'. Beautifully hand stitched pigskin.
Dimensions (when closed fully): 13.5 cm/5⅜ inches (length) x 10 cm/4 inches (width) x 3.5 cm/1⅜ inches (thick).
Will carry several larger cigars up to 3 cm/1⅛ inches diameter (in excess of 52 ring gauge) and expands to take a maximum length cigar of 18 cm/7⅛ inches.
