A fine hand stitched leather cigar protector with embossed line detail to the top edge. With a metal match striking plate fixed to one end. Case expands for differing lengths of cigar. Circa 1850.

Dimensions (when fully closed): 13 cm/5⅛ inches (length) x 8 cm/3⅛ inches (width) x 4.5 cm/1¾ inches (thick).
Will take up to four cigars with maximum diameter of 2.0 cm/52 ring gauge and expands to take a maximum length of 19.75 cm/7¾ inches.
