The Soyuz rocket is an advancement of the world’s first intercontinental rocket, the R-7, which was launched on May 15, 1957. Today, the Soyuz rocket is the most flown orbital rocket. Furthermore, it is the only active carrier rocket of the Russian Federation that is approved for the manned space flight.
