Austrian leather covered wardrobe trunks, by Vienna based luggage company Paul Stark, circa 1920. Fitted internally with hangers and rail. Heavy leather handles, brass rivets, locks, catches and corners as well as re-enforced edging. The brown leather has developed a lovely warm patina.
Additionally, in the film Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, the label on the trunk belonging to character Remus Lupin bears the same makers name, "Paul Stark Wien".
