An unusual pair of stone frames, created from pieces of various semi-precious stones including malachite and serpentine.
The frames have a black onyx back and original felt covered hinged foot that allows the frame to stand in either portrait or landscape format. Inside the patchwork surround, a gilt metal frame houses the glazed area. Circa 1970.
Dimensions: Frame: 9.5 cm/3¾ inches (height) x 8.5 cm/3⅜ inches (width) x 0.75 cm/¼ inches (thick). Glazed area: 4 cm/1½ inches (height) x 3 cm/1⅛ inches (width).
