A beautiful box made from Ruby in Zoisite. Originally used as a cigarette box, a gilt metal hinge joins the top and bottom sections.
Zoisite is a mineral that is occasionally found in metamorphic rocks, typically mined in Tanzania. Even more rarely, it contains red corundum crystals (Rubies) a few millimetres in diameter.
Dimensions: 15.75 cm/6¼ inches (length) x 10.5 cm/4¼ inches (depth) x 4.25 cm/1⅝ inches (height).
