An exceptional life-size sterling silver football with a gently hammered surface and skilfully detailed lacing. The ball is very tactile and we have made a bespoke ebonised stand so it can easily be removed and handled.
The silver marks include Minerva wearing a Greek helmet, indicating the Netherlands from 1906 onwards and a date letter 'M' for the year 1947. The Lion stamp indicates the quality of the silver as 925 sterling.
