Tiger's Eye Stone Box

A stylish box made from Tiger's Eye with bands of brown and gold colour running through the stone. Originally used as a cigarette box, a silver gilt hinge and frame join the top and bottom sections. Stamped with the Italian silver mark for 800 standard and with the Italian makers mark used between 1944 -1968: 1007 MI; denoting the maker Luigi Cervone from Milan. Tiger's Eye is a member of the quartz group of stone and has a holographic quality and glossy lustre.
