A distinctive English nineteenth century leather covered Naval telescope. Employing a three drawer design, the brass body features a sliding eyepiece cover and adjustable lens cap.

A panel insert in the leather shows signal flags/pendents for identification and signalling while out at sea. 

Dimensions: Max length 91 cm/35⅞ inches with a 1½ inch objective lens.
