Brass Artillery Gun Directing Telescope

Superb WWI 'Director No.5, Mark 1' by E.R. Watts & Sons dated 1917. Beautifully engraved it is also serial numbered and has broad arrow and war department markings. It has two interchangeable eye pieces of different magnification; one 8X and one 15X. This brass scope has been stripped of the original black finish, polished, cleaned and then plated with a thin layer of gold to prevent tarnishing and minimise the need for cleaning. It has then been mounted on a period wooden tripod stand. The optics have been fully refurbished to the highest standards. The scope comes with a newly made hardwood floor stand to provide stability to the tripod.
