Fine yellow gold plated S. T. Dupont Ligne 2 gas lighter with beautiful black lacquer inlay, Circa 1985. Marked on the base ’S.T Dupont - Paris - Made in France - serial no. and the Dupont makers mark. In good condition, serviced and in full working order. Serial number 8ZEV57.

The colour of the original Dupont gas refill that was required to refuel the lighter is painted red, green, blue or yellow (or left gold). Revealed on removal of the lighter’s refuelling cap either in the base of the lighter surrounding the filling valve or inside the refuelling cap itself.

S.T. Dupont recommends their own, higher-purity butane to prevent carbon buildup in the burner valve. Using cheap, "dirty" butane can clog the delicate mechanisms over time. If it is not possible to use official Dupont refills, opt for high-quality, ultra-refined third-party butane brands and a suitable nozzle adapter for your lighter. Incorrect adapters can damage the delicate filling valve and may not provide the correct pressure to refill the lighter.
