Hinged Olive Wood Double Picture Frame

An unusual double frame made in Olive wood with carved stitch-work decoration and original beveled glass; circa 1890. Has makers stamp for, V. SCHEFERS & CO. FINE ARTS, 1242 Broadway, New York.

N.B. Reference is made to the makers in the catalogue of the second annual exhibition of the New York Water Color Club, held in 1891.
