Italian Silver Frame

A lovely Italian sterling silver frame with geometric pattern to the front face and velvet covered back & foot that allows the frame to stand in either portrait or landscape format. 925 purity mark for sterling silver. Post 1968 maker's identification mark of 53 MI, for KOSCA S.r.l., a silversmith based in Milan, formed in 1970 from Kohler & Schaefer. Makers of collectible silverware, including desk accessories for Cartier.

Frame: 23.75 cm/9⅜ inches (height) x 18.5 cm/7⅜ inches (width) x 1.25 cm/½ inch (thick).
Glazed area: 18 cm/7⅛ inches (height) x 13 cm/5⅛ inches (width).
