Large Silver Mounted Champagne Bottle Decanter

Wonderful Marie-Jeunne size Champagne bottle decanter with a three bottle capacity. The glass body is fluted in a truly elegant fashion, on the inside only; so that the outside surface of the decanter remains smooth. The silver neck and hinged stopper have hallmarks for Birmingham 1893 and makers marks for Hukin and Heath.

Dimensions: Height 15⅜ inches/39 cm x base diameter 4½ inches/11.5 cm.

We also have a somewhat larger example that has a capacity of just under 6 litres (thats more than 7 bottles of wine!); shown on the right in the final picture. It was also made by Hukin and Heath and has hallmarks for the year 1892.
