Leather Hat Case

A fine gentleman's leather hat bucket, circa 1900, that has developed a rich patina with age. Equipped with an exterior strap, buckle and brass catch but missing the interior fittings that would have held a number of hats.

The handle has a brass plaque engraved H.Stubbs., and the left-hand side of the hat bucket is embossed with the initials H.S. The closure strap has been replaced with a copy of the original that was beyond repair.
