Model Concorde

A splendid vintage fibreglass and resin composite 1:100 scale British Airways promotional model of a Concorde in the airline's livery design for the supersonic aircraft known as 'Landor'. Mounted on original chrome plated stand; circa 1990. This model comes with the original foam-lined cardboard box that it was housed in from new.

Dimensions: 60.75 cm/23⅞ inches (length) x 26 cm/10¼ inches (wing span) x 21 cm/8¼ inches (approx. maximum height on stand).

The famed Anglo-French supersonic passenger jet capable of cruising at twice the speed of sound (Mach 2, about 1,350 mph). Meaning that regular Concorde flights between London and New York took under 3½ hours. In November 1986 a British Airways Concorde flew around the world, covering 28,238 miles in 29 hours, 59 minutes!
