Pair of Royal Leather Frames

Pair of presentation portraits of King George V and Queen Mary by court photographers W. & D. Downey, of 61 Ebury Street London, in green leather rectangular picture frames by JC. Vickery of Regent Street. The frames were obviously made for the photos that they still contain and have crowns embossed in gold at the top of each. Both photos are signed and dated 1922.

Dimensions of each frame: 49.5 cm/19½ inches (height) x 36.2 cm/ 4¼ inches (width) x 1 cm/⅜ inch (depth).
Dimensions of glazed area: 40.5 cm/15¾ inches (height) x 27 cm/10⅝ inches (width).
