Amazing 1920s quarter chiming large mantle clock made from A First World War era aircraft propeller. With polished nickel plated brass hands and 'Arabic' numerals mounted on a circular face.
Lovely quality eight day clock movement mounted in the central section of a mahogany nine-ply aeroplane propeller sitting on a shaped base. Excellent working order, recently serviced and has key. The ‘8 day’ terminology means it only requires winding once a week.
The chimes have a lever to silence them. When the chimes are engaged, A quarter chiming clock will strike on the hour, half hour and the quarter.
Dimensions: 29 cm/11⅜ inches (height) x 45.5 cm/17⅞ inches (width) x 19 cm/7½ inches (depth).
