Scottish Leather Trunk

A splendid leather trunk by makers R.W. Forsyth of Glasgow and Edinburgh, circa1900. With brass fittings and original lining to the interior. Has faded initials, C.G.O.M. on the ends of the trunk. The lock plate is engraved, Knock Castle. Largs. The castle is situated on the west coast of Ayrshire with views over the Firth of Clyde, close to the town of Largs. Sympathetic replacement of the leather strap for the lock cover flap has been carried out, as the original was beyond repair.

Dimensions: 92 cm/36¼ inches (length) x 54 cm/21¼ inches (depth) x 35 cm/13¾ inches (height).
