Set of Two Crocodile Skin Cases by Cartier

An exquisite pair of matching crocodile skin suitcases of the highest quality by Cartier, circa 1920. 

The larger of the two cases features a reinforced handle and a stylish coronet and monogram. From our research, we believe that the case may have been the property of the Earl and Countess of Mayo. 

The smaller vanity case, ingeniously designed to fold out within the larger case, also bears the matching coronet and monogram and has been relined with alcantara. The set includes its canvas cover and the original Bramah key.

A rare and important piece of Cartier luggage.
