Silver and Enamel Nautical Themed Cocktail Shaker

Unusual silver octagonal cocktail shaker with green enamel lid, enamelled ship flags, including the logo for Belships Co Ltd, and the initials CS, for Christen Smith, who founded the Norwegian shipping company in 1918.

The shaker has a lift-off lid and a removable strainer inside to filter the cocktail upon serving. The base of the shaker has a makers stamp for Oslo silversmith Jacob Tostrup, a silver purity stamp of 830 and a year stamp for 1953.
