Silver Horseshoe Picture Frame

A fabulous silver frame in the form of a horseshoe. Original wood back and foot. Made in Germany by Franz Johann jr. of Schwäbisch Gmünd. 925 purity mark (the purity of sterling silver) and London import mark, the Leo sign of the Zodiac, with date letter for the year 1973. Importers mark for Royal Irish Silver Company.

Dimensions: 15 cm/5¾ inches (max height) x 12 cm/4¾ inches (max width) x 0.75 cm/⅜ inch (thick).
Dimensions of glazed area: 11.5 cm/4½ inches (max height) x  9 cm/3½ inches (max width).
