Silver Key Ring

Silver miniature late 19th century tennis racket on an oval silver disc with hand chased decorative finish. Hallmarked Birmingham 1995.

Possibly originally made to commemorate the centenary of the Lawn Tennis Association Summer County Cup, the historic tennis competition that started in 1895 and remains one of the oldest annual tournaments on the British domestic sporting calendar. This style of tennis racket would have been cutting edge in 1895!

Dimensions: 6.25 cm/2⅜ inches (length) x 3.75 cm/1½ inches (width).
