Silver Mounted Cut Glass Lemonade Jug

Substantial silver mounted lemonade jug with star cut to the base. Complete with its removable central flask that was designed to be filled with crushed ice, to keep the contents of the jug cool without diluting it. German silver marks of the crown and crescent moon, with a purity stamp of 835. Makers mark for Gebrüder Kühn.

Although typically known as a lemonade jug, this type of design was used for chilling all sorts of refreshing liquids. In England, Pimms was always a favourite!
