WWII US Navy Ships Telescope

A substantial US Navy Bureau of Ships MK I ships telescope by Bausch & Lomb Optical Company of Rochester, New York. With 21 power magnification and integral filters, circa 1940. This brass scope has been stripped of the original paint finish, polished, cleaned and then plated with a thin layer of gold to prevent tarnishing and minimise the need for cleaning. It has then been mounted on a custom made bracket fitted to a period stained wooden tripod with polished bright metal fittings. The telescope also comes with a newly made hardwood floor stand to provide stability to the tripod and give protection to floor surfaces. The optics have been fully refurbished to the highest standards.
