Large Rhodonite Stone Frame

Spectacular large gilt mounted Rhodonite picture frame. Has a black onyx back and original felt covered hinged foot that allows the frame to stand in either portrait or landscape format. Inside the Rhodonite surround, a gilt metal frame houses the glazed area. Circa 1970.

Rhodonite is typically found (as here) with an attractive pink crystalline structure and black manganese oxides contrasting with the colour.
