Victorian crocodile skin cigar case with silver band. Can accommodate up to four cigars and expands for differing lengths of cigar. Hallmarked Birmingham 1879. Also stamped on the silver with a maker's mark.
Dimensions (when fully closed): 12.75 cm/5 inches (length) x 9 cm/3½ inches (width) x 2.5 cm/1 inches (thick). Will take up to four cigars with maximum diameter of 1.3 cm/38 ring gauge and expands to take a maximum length of 17.75 cm/7 inches.
