An unusual pair of painted aluminium and wood models of the LTV (Ling-Temco-Vought) A-7 Corsair II, one in United States Navy (USN) livery and one in United States Air Force (USAF) camouflage livery. Made circa 1970 by celebrated Dutch model maker, Maarten Matthijs Verkuyl, a specialist that had contracts with aircraft manufacturers and airlines. Fabulous quality with painted wooden ordinance and on their original wooden stands.

Dimensions: (length) 61 cm/24 inches x (wing span) 51 cm/20 inches x (max height on stand) 33 cm/13 inches.

The LTV A-7 Corsair II is an American carrier-capable subsonic attack aircraft manufactured to replace the Douglas A-4 Skyhawk. The Corsair II initially entered service with the US Navy during the Vietnam War and began combat operations over Vietnam in December 1967. It was later adopted by the US Air Force, including the Air National Guard, to replace the Douglas A-1 Skyraider and North American F-100 Super Sabre.
